The DCRA’s Service Pistol program places a strong emphasis on marksmanship fundamentals, including matches shot with strong hand only, weak hand only, and transitions from strong hand to weak hand.
Civilian competitors can expect to shoot shoulder to shoulder with Service members, Law Enforcement, and security officers on targets ranging from 10-25 yards. All shooting is done from the “low ready” position, so there are no requirements to be holster qualified (i.e. Black Badge).
Team matches provide additional opportunities to compete with friends both in overall score as well as in the “falling plates” elimination match.
Our mission is to promote and support the pursuit of excellence in military and civilian marksmanship as a positive and significant contribution to Canada, to the sport of shooting and to the safe handling of firearms.
