DCRA Hall of Fame Criteria

Dominion of Canada Rifle Association members who, being considered for selection to the DCRA Hall of Fame, must accumulate 100 points from a point system below, or may gain direct entry to the DCRA Hall of Fame with an automatic induction.

Builders' Category Criteria

Selection to the Dominion of Canada Rifle Association Hall of Fame, in the Builders’ Category, will be determined by the Hall of Fame Selection Committee, based on submissions received for consideration.

The Builders’ Category will include individuals involved in any activity supporting, either directly or indirectly, the sport of shooting within the DCRA. As an example, these activities may include:

Technical Developments of ammunition, firearms, targets, range safety;
Coaching including development of techniques, standards, and the practical application of Hands On Coaching;
Programme Development of shooting programmes and competitions;
Support to DCRA Rifle Teams to Bisley including financial and material support to International Competitions; and;
Administrative Support to the Association’s programmes over an extended period of time.

Each submission must demonstrate an outstanding level of achievement and contribution to the DCRA and the sport of shooting over an extended period of time. The submissions must document the manner in which the particular activity has enhanced the sport of shooting within the DCRA.

Only members or former members of the DCRA are eligible for selection. Submissions must be based on the period when the individual was a member in good standing.

DCRA Service Conditions Hall of Fame

Entry into the DCRA Service Conditions Hall of Fame is open to any Canadian citizen. Members will be considered for as far back as records can be found. Only Service Conditions events and CISM will be considered and must be conducted at the National or International level (e.g. DCRA’s NSCC, Bisley, American Forces Small Arms Meeting (AFSAM) or other International Level Competition).

The following point system is applied and a competitor must accumulate 75 points to apply for membership in the Hall of Fame:

Automatic Entry into the Hall of Fame

A member may be considered for direct entry into the DCRA Hall of Fame if they have accomplished any of the following:

Queen’s Medal (either Regular or Reserve Force) X 3
Top 25 in the Helmer Aggregate X 10

Top 25 for the Queen’s Medal (either Regular or Reserve Force) X 10
Winner of a Service Rifle Grand Aggregate in any other Major International Event
